Seattle Good Business NetworkCascadia Produce, and United Way of King County, in partnership with the Food Justice Collaborative, are hosting a free networking and education forum, Nourishing Local Connections: A Forum for Food Security Collaboration.

Through this event, we hope to strengthen the opportunities for collaboration, partnership, and resource and knowledge sharing across our region’s food security network and reach more people in need with nutritious, culturally relevant food through a more resilient, sustainable, and equitable local food system. We would love for you to join us!The agenda for this event will feature:

  • Local Purchasing Panel: Hear from farmers, food-hubs, produce aggregators, co-ops, and wholesalers about the many ways an organization can find and purchase food from local producers.
  • Rapid sharing presentations from non-profits working in WA food security including their superpowers and bottlenecks.
  • Information sessions on topics relating to grant applications, food recovery, and upcoming funding opportunities.
  • Free, unstructured time to network and connect with one-another.
  • Delicious lunch from local chefs.
