The basket collection is handpicked and curated to promote the global artisans working day and night to feed their families. They are all handwoven by women in the remote villages of Pakistan from sustainable, natural materials including seagrass, banana leaf, cane bark, sisal leaves and fiber. Each basket represents a labor of love and comprises of a lengthy multi step process. Before the actual weaving takes place the fiber goes through multiple steps of drying and preparation, next comes the process of wrapping coils and finally the intricate weaving into a spiral brings about the final product. They have traditionally been used for serving or storing breads, and in modern days are a great piece for home decor or storage containers for just about anything.
